The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its positive trend against the US Dollar on Wednesday. The currency recorded its 231st consecutive day of gains.
According to the latest exchange rate data, the PKR closed at 277.45 against the US Dollar. It gained one paisa during the latest trading session.
The rupee has maintained its steady performance against the dollar since December 25, 2025. The continued improvement reflects a prolonged period of stability in the local currency market.
The PKR has also shown gains against several major international currencies. These movements were recorded during Wednesday’s trading session.
PKR Performance Against Major Currencies
The Pakistani rupee gained 65 paisas against the British Pound. It also strengthened by 39 paisas against the Australian Dollar.
Against the Euro, the rupee gained 29 paisas. The PKR also improved by 82 paisas against the Canadian Dollar.
The rupee recorded smaller gains against regional currencies. It strengthened by one paisa against both the UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal.
The latest figures show that the PKR remained broadly stable across major currency markets. The changes were generally positive during the session.
Latest Exchange Rates
The US Dollar was recorded at 277.4514 on September 2, compared with 277.4637 on September 1. This represents a gain of 0.0123.
The Euro stood at 321.3164, down from 321.6082 a day earlier. The British Pound fell to 374.9061 from 375.5610.
The Australian Dollar was recorded at 197.9338. It was previously quoted at 198.3311.
The Canadian Dollar stood at 199.1397, compared with 199.9666 on September 1.
Meanwhile, the UAE Dirham was recorded at 75.5370. The Saudi Riyal stood at 73.8924.
The Chinese Yuan remained unchanged at 41.2727 during the latest comparison.
Rupee Maintains Long-Term Gains
The latest figures extend the PKR’s long-running winning streak against the US Dollar. The currency has continued to post gains since late December 2025.
The latest one-paisa improvement may appear small. However, it adds to the rupee’s extended period of consistent gains.
Market participants will continue monitoring exchange rate movements in the coming sessions. The performance of the PKR remains important for businesses, importers, and consumers.
