Gwadar to Host HBL PSL Player Draft 2024 on January 11
GWADAR – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Player Draft for the 2024 season will take place on January 11 in the picturesque coastal city of Gwadar. This marks a historic moment for the cricketing event, as it ventures into Balochistan’s economically and culturally significant region.

The PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, emphasized the broader vision behind selecting Gwadar as the host city. “This initiative reflects our commitment to extending HBL PSL’s reach to every corner of Pakistan while presenting the beauty of our nation to the world,” Naseer said.
He added, “HBL PSL is more than just a cricket league for Pakistan’s passionate fans—it is a celebration of Pakistan’s spirit, beauty, and talent. Hosting the Player Draft in Gwadar is a step towards inspiring young cricketers in Balochistan and other cities to dream big.”
Player Draft Details and Upcoming Announcements
The draft ceremony’s official start time will be announced closer to the event date. The PCB has also confirmed that details regarding player retention and relegation will be shared by the end of December.
