On Sunday, Defence police apprehended three suspected muggers—Sherdil, Abdul Rafi, and Darvesh—caught in the act of robbing a citizen, Akhtar Shah. The police recovered eight mobile phones, three stolen motorcycles, and two pistols with ammunition from the suspects. Their fourth accomplice, Altaf Solangi, managed to escape. The recovered motorcycles had been reported stolen in previous cases at Quaidabad and Site A police stations.

District South SSP Sajid Saduzai stated that the arrested robbers had been involved in numerous cases of motorcycle theft and snatching across the city. Police efforts are ongoing to capture the fourth suspect, and formal investigations have been initiated.
Earlier, Defence police also arrested two suspects, Qasim Shah and Muhammad Imran, following an exchange of fire in the Qayyumabad area under Defence Police Station’s jurisdiction. Shah was injured during the encounter and was taken to Jinnah Hospital for treatment. Police seized a weapon, three mobile phones, and a 125cc motorcycle from the suspects. Further investigation is underway.
