RAWALPINDI – In a shocking revelation, Traffic Police personnel in the Pakistani capital have been caught issuing a driving license to a blind man after accepting a bribe, raising serious concerns about public safety and the integrity of the licensing process.

The startling discovery was made by Iqrar-ul-Hassan, a TV journalist renowned for his sting operations. Hassan reported that licenses were being issued without the necessary testing or medical evaluations, a clear violation of traffic regulations.

During the investigation, it was revealed that a traffic police official from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), along with a middleman, had been accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 to facilitate the illegal issuance of the license. This incident highlights significant lapses in the system, as proper checks and balances are critical for ensuring that only capable drivers are on the roads.
