The London police have concluded their investigation into the alleged attack on the vehicle of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Qazi Faez Isa. The incident, which occurred in October, has been closed without any charges filed, as no injuries or significant damage were reported.
The Pakistani High Commission had initially lodged a complaint following the attack on the ex-CJP’s diplomatic vehicle outside Middle Temple in London. Acting on directives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the commission reviewed video evidence and provided it to the London police for further action.

The attack unfolded as Justice Isa attended a ceremony marking his appointment as a bencher at the prestigious Middle Temple. Outside the event, supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including figures such as Maleeka Bukhari, Zulfi Bukhari, and Azhar Mashwani, staged a protest. Reports indicated that some protesters showed hostility by striking the ex-CJP’s car as he exited with his wife.
In response to the incident, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed swift action, including the cancellation of the alleged attackers’ passports. He also instructed NADRA to identify those involved through video footage, initiating steps to block their national ID cards and pursue charges in Pakistan.
The Pakistani government subsequently canceled the passports of 23 individuals linked to the incident and added their names to the passport control list, reflecting a firm stance on addressing the matter through domestic legal measures.
