Services for WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and other communication platforms remain disrupted across Pakistan, leaving millions unable to connect amid Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) march to the capital.

Authorities have restricted access to these services nationwide, reportedly to prevent unrest during the political rally. While no official explanation for the outages has been provided, widespread reports of disruptions and slow internet speeds have been documented by monitoring platforms like NetBlocks and Downdetector.

The government previously warned of potential restrictions on internet services without specifying affected regions. However, these prolonged shutdowns have drawn criticism, with many arguing that they infringe on citizens’ rights to information and freedom of speech.

As PTI’s Imran Khan continues to call for supporters to converge at D-Chowk in Islamabad, the government has deployed thousands of security personnel and blocked key routes, indicating that service disruptions may persist during the protests.
