In a deeply disturbing case, four suspects accused of the brutal murder of Zara, a pregnant woman, were presented in the District Magistrate’s Court under heavy security. District Magistrate Poonam granted a four-day physical remand of the accused, following a request by the Motra police, who had initially sought a 10-day remand to further investigate the case. The suspects will next appear in court on November 22.
The heinous crime has shocked Pakistan, as it is alleged that Zara’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law played a central role in her murder. According to reports, the victim’s body was dismembered into dozens of pieces, and the remains were disposed of in an old nullah in a nearby village.

Zara’s father, a police officer, became suspicious after losing contact with his daughter. When he approached her in-laws, they falsely claimed that she had run away with someone. Unconvinced and suspecting foul play, he immediately reported the matter to the police and filed an FIR against the accused. The case has drawn widespread attention due to its brutality, and the investigation continues.
