Australia capped off a dominant series with a comprehensive win over Pakistan in the third T20 International, sealing a 3-0 series clean sweep. Chasing a modest target of 118 runs, the Australian side comfortably reached the target in just 11.2 overs, losing three wickets along the way. This final match reflected Pakistan’s struggles throughout the series, as they were bowled out for just 117 in 18.1 overs.
Pakistan’s batting woes continued, with seven players failing to reach double figures. Despite winning the toss and opting to bat first, the visitors struggled to build momentum. Early wickets fell, with openers Sahibzada Farhan (9) and Haseebullah Khan (24) unable to provide stability at the top. Captain Babar Azam fought hard with a 41-run knock, but the rest of the batting lineup collapsed, leaving Pakistan at 92/7 by the 14th over. Shaheen Afridi’s cameo of 16, including two boundaries and a six, was one of the few positives, but Pakistan could only manage 117.

Australia’s bowlers dominated, with Aaron Hardie picking up three wickets, and Adam Zampa and Spencer Johnson taking two each. Nathan Ellis and Xavier Bartlett also chipped in with one wicket apiece, keeping the pressure on Pakistan throughout their innings.
In response, Australia had a shaky start, losing openers Jack Fraser-McGurk (2) and Matthew Short (18) early, leaving them at 30/2 in four overs. However, captain Josh Inglis (27) and Marcus Stoinis (61* off 27 balls) turned the game around with a match-winning partnership. Stoinis, in particular, was in blistering form, hitting five sixes and five fours to guide Australia to victory with ease.
For Pakistan, this series marked a string of disappointments, with their batting lineup failing to fire in all three matches. Despite making changes, including resting Mohammad Rizwan and debuting Jehandad Khan, the team couldn’t overcome Australia’s strong bowling and dynamic batting.
Australia’s commanding performance sends a strong signal ahead of future challenges, while Pakistan will need to regroup and address their shortcomings before their upcoming international fixtures.
