This decision follows new white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan’s support for Fakhar Zaman during a meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The board is now considering adding the left-handed batter to the national squad and possibly awarding him a central contract. Fakhar was previously excluded from the contract list after expressing disappointment over the decision to omit Babar, calling it “concerning” and urging the PCB to protect rather than undermine players.
