PMD forecasts dry weather in the plains and rain in higher regions

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly dry weather for most plains across the country in the next 24 hours. However, cloudy conditions with the possibility of rain, wind, or thunderstorms, along with light snowfall in high mountain areas, are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Potohar Region.

Isolated gusty winds are anticipated in upper Punjab. A westerly wave is projected to influence the western and upper regions of the country starting Monday.

Over the past 24 hours, dry weather has prevailed in most areas, while Sindh experienced hot conditions. The highest recorded temperatures were 42°C in Lasbela, Mithi, and Hyderabad, and 41°C in Shaheed Benazirabad.
