Bushra Begum, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, was released from Adiala Jail on Thursday following the issuance of release orders by a special judge.
Special Judge Shahrukh Arjumand issued the orders after Bushra’s lawyers submitted a surety bond worth Rs1 million earlier in the day.

Bushra Bibi had been granted bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday in the Toshakhana case. However, her release was delayed due to the absence of the special judge needed to issue the release order.
PTI lawyers had spent Wednesday attempting to submit the surety bonds for her release, but the process was delayed when the court adjourned before completion. Attempts to get the release order from Administrative Judge Raja Jawad Abbas were also unsuccessful as he had already left.
