Gold continued its upward trend in both local and international markets on Wednesday, hitting new record highs.
According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the per tola gold price increased by Rs2,000, reaching an all-time high of Rs285,400. Additionally, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,714, settling at Rs244,684 in Pakistan.

In the international market, gold saw substantial gains, with the price per ounce rising by $20 to hit a record $2,757.
The previous day, the per tola price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,100 to close at Rs283,400, while 10 grams increased by Rs943 to Rs242,970. Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady, with per tola priced at Rs3,150 and 10 grams at Rs2,700.62.
