The Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to undergo fitness tests before their second Test against England, which will run from October 15 to 19.

Sources indicate that several players, including Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, Kamran Ghulam, Zahid Mahmood, Nauman Ali, Haseebullah, and Imam-ul-Haq, have been called to Multan for the evaluations, expected to take place on Saturday.

Previously, Zahid Mahmood and Nauman Ali were dropped from the squad for the first Test due to failing fitness requirements, while leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed is expected to miss the second Test due to hospital treatment.

Following a significant loss in the first Test against England, where they lost by an innings and 47 runs, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) aims to address any fitness concerns. Under Masood’s captaincy, Pakistan has now lost six consecutive Tests, including a 3-0 defeat against England and a 2-0 loss at home to Bangladesh, resulting in a ninth-place ranking in Test cricket.
