This price hike will impact passengers on key routes, including Karachi to Hyderabad, Tando Adam, Tando Jam, and Kotri.

Travelers between Lahore and Sialkot, Narowal, Narang Mandi, and Faisalabad to Rawalpindi will also face higher fares, with increases of 10 to 20 percent for journeys up to 250 kilometers.

This comes shortly after railway authorities announced a 10 percent price reduction for Business, AC Sleeper, and Economy classes, sparking concerns amidst ongoing inflation.

The fare increase contrasts sharply with recent fuel price cuts, including petrol, kerosene oil, and high-speed diesel, adding further strain on everyday commuters.
