A foreign actor named Ilias Christophoridis, who closely resembles Bollywood star John Abraham, has taken social media by storm. His striking similarity to the actor has garnered attention from fans all over the world, with many referring to him as the “Arabic John Abraham.”
Recently, Ilias posted a video on Instagram, where he was seen dancing to the title track of the 2015 Bollywood film Welcome Back. In the caption, he dedicated the video to his Indian fans, writing, “That’s for my Indian peeps.” He also used popular hashtags like #JohnAbraham, #Bollywood, and #BollywoodSongs.

Fans quickly flooded the comment section, expressing their surprise at the uncanny resemblance. One fan wrote, “Oh my God… looks like John Ibrahim,” while another called Ilias the “Russian John Abraham.” Some even commented that he resembled a mix of Bollywood stars, saying he looked like “Saif Ali Khan + John Abraham” or “John Abraham + Hrithik Roshan.”
One particularly enthusiastic fan remarked, “You are more John than John Abraham. I had to view this video several times to confirm.” Some humorously referred to him as an “AI generated John Abraham.”
Ilias recently shared another video of himself wearing a black blazer, which further fueled comparisons online. Fans responded with excitement, leaving fire emojis and comments like, “Wish I could tag John,” and “Bro is more John than John himself.”
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time John Abraham has responded to such lookalikes. Earlier this year, John reacted to a video posted by influencer Vansh Gandhi, who mimicked his body language and expressions. In the video, Vansh humorously captioned it with, “It’s always the same damn smile…,” as he mimicked John’s style in the gym. John himself praised the impersonation, commenting, “Vansh, you are outstanding!!!”
John Abraham was last seen in the 2024 film Vedaa, which was released on Independence Day. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film deals with caste discrimination, and John played the role of Abhimanyu Kanwar, a former Army major and mentor to the lead character, portrayed by Sharvari Wagh.
