Pakistan’s major mobile network providers, including Jazz, Zong, Ufone, and Telenor, have increased the prices of several voice and internet packages, with some bundles becoming up to 33 percent more expensive over the past year.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released updated tariff information for the 15 most popular hybrid and data-only packages offered by the country’s leading telecom operators. The revised tariff sheets, published on the regulator’s official website, show noticeable price increases across multiple package categories.
According to the updated data, the prices of monthly hybrid call and data packages have increased by as much as Rs500, while 15-day bundles have become costlier by up to Rs300.
Weekly hybrid packages have also seen significant revisions, with prices rising by up to Rs130. Similarly, the cost of three-day packages has increased by as much as Rs21, two-day bundles by Rs20, and one-day hybrid packages by up to Rs5.
PTA said the updated information is part of its efforts to improve consumer awareness and ensure greater transparency in telecom pricing. The regulator has upgraded the Consumer Awareness section of its website, making it easier for users to compare package prices and monitor tariff trends offered by Jazz, Zong, Ufone, and Telenor.
The newly published tariff sheets include detailed information such as quarterly package prices, annual percentage increases, package validity periods, and the incentives included with each bundle.
According to PTA, the initiative is designed to help consumers make informed decisions by allowing them to compare available mobile packages based on the latest prices and benefits.
The authority has encouraged telecom users to regularly check the Consumer Awareness section on its official website, as well as the websites of mobile operators, for updated package prices and tariff changes.
PTA said the move reflects its ongoing commitment to protecting consumer interests, promoting transparency in Pakistan’s telecom sector, and ensuring customers have easy access to accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
