Fans of The Traitors U.K. have exciting news, as the BBC has announced both a fourth season and a celebrity edition of the hit reality show. This announcement was made at the Edinburgh TV Festival, just as the highly anticipated third season, filmed in the Scottish Highlands, is set to air. While the cast and air dates for the nine-part celebrity edition and the 12-episode fourth season are yet to be revealed, anticipation is high for these new installments.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman and produced by Studio Lambert, part of All3Media, The Traitors has become a must-watch psychological gameshow. BBC’s head of entertainment, Kalpna Patel-Knight, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming seasons, saying, “‘The Traitors’ has firmly established itself as a standout event of the year… It will be fascinating to see who will outwit, outplay, and outlast. Let the mind games begin!”
Mike Cotton, creative director for unscripted at Studio Lambert and an executive producer on the show, shared his excitement: “We’re thrilled to welcome celebrities to our castle for a game filled with treachery and deception… Claudia’s going to need some extra knitwear for the Highlands.”
Additionally, a companion podcast titled The Traitors: Uncloaked, hosted by comedian Ed Gamble, will release 12 new episodes.
At the same Edinburgh panel, the BBC also unveiled a new sitcom starring Dawn French titled Can You Keep a Secret?, a two-part documentary Signs for Living featuring Rose Ayling-Ellis, and announced that Strictly Come Dancing will be signed live with British Sign Language for the first time in its 20-year history.
