Details indicate that the choice was made at a federal cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who also prayed Fateha for the souls of the hundreds who died as a result of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also launched a relief fund to aid Turkiye’s earthquake victims. He urged Pakistanis, especially businesspeople and charitable individuals, to contribute generously to the fund.
The federal cabinet also said that it will contribute one month’s worth of wages to the relief fund. Additionally, it was determined that all federal employees in grades 18 to 22 would donate one day’s pay to help the struggling Turks.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
