Shatrughan Sinha Criticizes Media Over Family Privacy

In a recent interview, veteran Bollywood actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha expressed his strong displeasure with the Indian media’s coverage of his family’s private matters. Sinha emphasized that his family, like any other, experiences internal disagreements and conflicts that should not be subjected to public scrutiny. He stated firmly, “My family is just like any other Indian family; we have our differences.”

Sinha criticized what he perceived as a deliberate attempt by the media to target his family over trivial issues. Addressing rumors about his son Luv Sinha’s absence from his sister Sonakshi’s wedding, he downplayed the matter, remarking, “If my son did not attend his sister’s wedding, it’s not a big deal. Families go through bigger issues than this.”

Regarding his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s marriage to Zaheer Iqbal, a Muslim man, Sinha acknowledged that interfaith marriages are increasingly common in Bollywood and across India. He expressed his hopes for their happiness, saying, “I hope Zaheer makes their married life happy and keeps my daughter content.”

Sinha issued a stern warning to the media, declaring, “If anyone criticizes or talks about my family again, I will not tolerate it.” He emphasized the need for privacy and respect for his family’s personal decisions.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal married in a private ceremony on June 23, attended by close family and friends, despite reports suggesting her brothers’ absence due to alleged disapproval of her choice of spouse.
