In Rawalpindi, a gang of robbers targeted individuals on their way to a funeral procession within the limits of the Saddar police station. The incident occurred near Shahpur graveyard, where armed robbers intercepted nine people, stealing their mobile phones, motorcycles, cash, and other belongings.
One of the victims reported to the police that he and others were on their way to offer funeral prayers when they were stopped by four armed dacoits near the cemetery. The stolen items were estimated to be worth Rs500,000. Another victim mentioned to the media that despite calling the police helpline, officials did not arrive promptly.

The police have registered a case regarding the robbery and have initiated an investigation to apprehend the suspects.
Additionally, a similar incident occurred a day earlier when three students from Rangers Cadet College were robbed by two dacoits in Rawalpindi. The students were returning to their college after dining at a hotel near Chakri Adda when they were intercepted by the armed robbers. The dacoits stole three mobile phones, Rs9,000 in cash, and the students’ identity cards before fleeing on foot.
