The majority of the members of the Jahangir Tareen-led IPP are defectors from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who parted ways with the party following the May 9 violence. Tareen, a former close aide to PTI founder Imran Khan, played a pivotal role in the formation of the 2018 PTI government but severed ties with Khan after facing a money laundering case.

Numerous ex-PTI figures, including Farrukh Habib, Ali Nawaz Awan, Andleeb Abbas, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan, and former Sindh governor Imran Ismail, have aligned themselves with Tareen since the party’s inception.

Expressing his decision to enter politics at the behest of Sindh IPP President Mahmood Moulvi, Hasan articulated his desire to make a positive impact on the lives of the Pakistani people.

The actor underscored that his sole objective in joining the IPP is to serve the people, urging individuals to recognize the positive aspects of politics and acknowledge those who have contributed to the nation’s welfare.

Hasan called for forgiveness and collective progress, emphasizing the need to move forward together.
