On a late Tuesday night near the Shahzad Town Police Station in the federal capital, a tragic incident unfolded, claiming the lives of four individuals, including a father and son, amidst a clash between rival groups.
The victims, former UC chairman Ibrar Shah and his son Hamza Shah, along with their driver and gunman, fell victim to gunfire in the unfortunate confrontation.
The Murder:
Syed Abrar Shah, the deceased former UC chairman and a member of PMLN, was embroiled in a longstanding feud with some close relatives, as disclosed by locals and journalists. The roots of animosity trace back to the murder of their opponent, Hammad Shah, with Abrar Shah accused of the crime.
This animosity stemmed from a land dispute, escalating to heated exchanges and a dramatic gesture of Mustache-waving between the adversaries. Subsequently, Hammad Shah was murdered, and blame was placed on Abrar Shah, leading to registered cases in Koral Station and pending issues in Islamabad.

Following Hammad Shah’s murder, a relative named Usama vowed not to rest until justice was served.
The recent incident unfolded with the indiscriminate firing of 86 bullets, resulting in the tragic demise of Abrar Shah. While the police speculate that this case may be a continuation of the longstanding enmity, it remains unconfirmed, leaving open the possibility of third-party involvement.
The police are actively investigating the case, but definitive conclusions are elusive at this juncture. Despite the funeral having taken place, an unusual aspect is the absence of any registered case or disclosed motives.
Notably, even though the incident occurred in Islamabad, the capital city with purportedly stringent security measures, this marks the second such incident in a span of three weeks, raising concerns about the efficacy of security measures in the city.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
