[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to introduce state-of-the-art digital screens at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. The objective is to complete the installation before the commencement of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) in February 2024.
However, there is apprehension regarding the escalated costs associated with expediting the installation process. It is anticipated that the screens will be sourced from international markets, incurring a substantial financial burden for the PCB.

Sources suggest that the installation is projected to cost around Rs. 2.5 billion, notwithstanding the potential benefits. The incorporation of these new screens is expected to elevate the spectator experience in the stadium, enhancing the visibility of scoreboards and match replays. This improvement aims to address the grievances of disheartened supporters dissatisfied with the quality of television broadcasting.
Furthermore, the PCB envisions hosting the PSL in either two or four venues, a decision that has sparked dissatisfaction among the Peshawar Zalmi team. They are advocating for their home ground, the Arbab Niaz Stadium, to be included as one of the PSL venues.
The installation of the new screens at the aforementioned venues strongly implies that these locations might serve as the primary venues for the PSL, potentially sidelining Rawalpindi and Multan.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
