A case to decide Imran Khan’s status as PTI chairman has been scheduled for a hearing on November 28. A five-member bench, led by the chief election commissioner, will oversee the proceedings, during which Imran Khan’s legal team will present their response.

The petition, filed by a citizen, seeks Imran Khan’s removal from the party leadership following his conviction in the Toshakhana case. In August of the same year, the ECP had disqualified Imran Khan for five years due to his conviction in the Toshakhana case. An Islamabad court had sentenced him to three years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs100,000 for concealing Toshakhana gifts’ details, leading to his arrest at his Zaman Park residence.

The ECP had officially declared Imran Khan technically disqualified from holding any public office for five years under Article 63(1)(h) of the Constitution.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
