As per the details, the ECP has penned a letter to the Ministry of Interior, requesting information on security arrangements for the general election. The ministry has been instructed to submit a report on the availability of security personnel across the four provinces and Islamabad by November 27.
The letter emphasized that federal and provincial authorities are constitutionally obligated to support the ECP, and law enforcement agencies bear the responsibility of enhancing law and order in all constituencies.

Sources indicate that the decision to deploy the Pakistan army is a response to the shortage of police personnel at polling stations. It’s noteworthy that earlier this year, the Pakistan army had declined election duty citing the security situation in the country.
Meanwhile, the ECP has initiated preparations for the February 8 election, commencing the printing of final electoral rolls. Additionally, the commission is expected to announce the code of conduct for the elections in the coming days.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
