In a tragic event, Asim Jamil, the son of the renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, lost his life on Sunday.
The incident occurred in Tulamba Tehsil, located in the Khanewal district of Punjab.
According to initial reports, Asim Jamil’s body was transported to Tulamba Hospital.

DPO Khanewal Rana Umar Farooq Salamat, in conversation with Samaa Digital, confirmed that Asim Jamil was fatally shot, sustaining a gunshot wound to his chest.
“Nephew of Tariq Jamil has claimed that Asim Jamil shot himself,” Salamat added.
Simultaneously, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident, he further noted.
Maulana Tariq Jamil, on the other hand, used a social media platform to confirm the passing of his son.
“My son Asim Jamil passed away today in Tulamba. This accidental death has made the atmosphere mournful,” he conveyed.
The religious scholar went on to say, “We humbly request you all to keep us in your prayers during this sorrowful time. May Allah grant my son a lofty place in Jannat.”
