Punjab Police Label Maulana Tariq Jamil’s Son’s Death As A Suicide

On Sunday, Asim Jamil, the son of renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, met his demise in Mian Channu.
According to the Deputy Superintendent (DSP) in Mian Channu, the son of Maulana Tariq Jamil, a well-known religious scholar, suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Maulana Asim Jamil was reportedly shot in the chest, but the reason for his suicide has not been disclosed.
Initial reports indicate that Maulana Asim Jamil was promptly transported to the Talamba Rural Health Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Dr. Usman Anwer has taken note of Asim Jamil’s demise and has requested a report from the Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO) regarding the incident. The IG has emphasized that the cause of Asim Jamil’s death will be ascertained through evidence and a forensic report.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Police has confirmed that the Khanewal District Police Officer (DPO) and other senior police officials were present at the crime scene to collect evidence.
