Furthermore, plans are in motion to establish a dedicated community center in Nankana Sahib for the Sikh community, along with the introduction of an exclusive online tour package for Punjab.

The chief minister confirmed the intention to provide visa-free entry for the Sikh community and discussed the ongoing efforts in this regard during a meeting with a delegation of Sikh pilgrims from the United States and other countries. The Sikh community expressed their gratitude to the chief minister for the preservation of Sikh religious sites in Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Hasan Abdal, and Kartarpur.

Pakistan holds a special place for the Sikh community, largely due to the Kartarpur corridor and numerous other significant religious sites within the country. Thousands of Sikhs visit Pakistan for religious and cultural reasons linked to their faith and heritage. Pakistan is home to several profoundly important Sikh sites, including the revered Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib, which marks the birthplace of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.

These sites hold immense spiritual significance for Sikhs worldwide. Pakistan’s cultural heritage is enriched with historical sites, particularly Gurdwaras, intimately tied to the Sikh community’s history and development.

As Sikhism originated in the Punjab region, which now spans both India and Pakistan, many pivotal events and holy sites of the faith are located in present-day Pakistan. The country also hosts vibrant religious festivals like Guru Nanak Jayanti, attracting Sikhs from around the world, including India.

The implementation of on-arrival visas, if realized, would greatly benefit the thousands of Sikh community members who visit Pakistan annually.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
