Punjab University Reopens Undergraduate Admissions for 2026-27

Punjab University has reopened undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. The move aims to fill vacant seats across several degree programs.

The second admission phase started at 8:00 AM on September 8, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit applications until 11:59 PM on September 28, 2026.

The university will process applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates must apply through the official online admission portal.

The second phase is open to new applicants. Students who applied earlier but missed admission can also apply again.

Candidates who did not take an admission test may also submit applications. However, they must meet the eligibility requirements of their selected programs.

Punjab University will use fee-challan generation time for limited seats. This will help determine the order of applications. Applicants should generate their challans quickly after selecting a program.

Programs Offered in the Second Phase

The university is offering vacant seats in the first and fifth semesters. Programs are available under several study categories.

These include morning, evening, afternoon, replica and self-supporting programs. The university identifies these categories as M, E, A, R and SS.

Several programs are available in agricultural sciences. These include BSc (Hons) Agriculture and BSc (Hons) Food Science and Technology.

BS Agribusiness is also available in morning and replica sessions. The program is being offered in collaboration with HCC.

Some College of Art and Design programs require an additional test. Applicants must score at least 50 percent in the drawing or aptitude test.

Social Sciences and Business Programs

The second phase also covers various behavioural and social sciences programs.

Available options include Community Development and Participatory Governance. Other choices include Peace and Conflict Studies and Social Work.

The Gujranwala Campus is offering several business and commerce degrees. These include Accounting and Finance, BBA, Commerce and Electronic Commerce.

English Literature is also available at the campus. Fifth-semester BBA is available through Hailey College of Banking and Finance.

The Jhelum Campus is offering Accounting and Finance and several business programs. These include BBA, Commerce and Electronic Commerce.

Hostel Accommodation

The university has clarified that hostel accommodation is limited. Therefore, admission does not guarantee a hostel room.

Hostel facilities may remain available during the academic year. However, they will not be available during summer vacations.

Students enrolled in evening, afternoon and replica programs are not eligible. Self-supporting students are also excluded from hostel accommodation.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the admission process online through the official portal. Offline applications will not be accepted during this phase.

Candidates should first review the eligibility requirements for their chosen program. They must then complete the online application form.

After selecting a program, applicants should generate the required fee challan promptly. This is important because vacant seats are being filled on merit of application timing.
