[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken strict action in the case related to the defiance of orders for producing PTI President Parvez Elahi. On Monday, the IHC issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, and a bailable arrest warrant for Islamabad Chief Commissioner.
Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf, presiding over the case, expressed strong dissatisfaction as IG Islamabad failed to appear before the court despite the issuance of a bailable warrant. In response to the non-execution of the bailable arrest warrant, the court also issued a contempt notice to the concerned Superintendent of Police (SP).

During the court proceedings, District Police Officer (DPO) Attock and Chief Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi appeared before the court. However, the judge expressed disappointment at the absence of the Attock jail superintendent. Subsequently, the court issued a bailable arrest warrant for the superintendent.
In a positive turn of events, DPO Attock submitted a reply to the show cause notice issued to him, resulting in the court withdrawing the notice.
This latest development adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing case, raising questions about the conduct of top law enforcement officials in Islamabad.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
