In a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Shehbaz vowed to crush all conspiracies against Pakistan and its state institutions.

The Prime Minister drew parallels to the events of May 9, when military installations were targeted during violent protests following the arrest of PTI chief Imran Khan. Addressing the planners, facilitators, and handlers of the May 9 incidents, Shehbaz asserted that all conspiracies against Pakistan and its institutions would be crushed. He identified the media campaign against the COAS and the army as a maliciously planned effort by individuals with nefarious intentions, working against political and economic stability in the country.

Shehbaz highlighted that this campaign was just one aspect of an abhorrent drive against the country’s martyrs. He instructed relevant agencies to take action against those responsible, both domestically and abroad. The Prime Minister clarified that the media campaign targeting the COAS and the army did not fall under the umbrella of freedom of speech, emphasizing that it was a conspiracy that needed to be legally addressed.

Shehbaz reassured the nation that this conspiracy would be thwarted, just as the attempt to spread violence on May 9 was foiled. He emphasized that disparate elements would not be allowed to create a new crisis in the country, stating that the nation firmly stood behind its armed forces and their leader.

While the PMO statement did not explicitly mention anyone, Shehbaz criticized the PTI chief on Twitter for his alleged involvement in a vile and malicious campaign against the COAS. He accused the PTI chief of using proxies to threaten the army chief with an assassination attempt and stated that his planned attack on state symbols had failed. Shehbaz further emphasized that through such actions, the PTI chief was exposing his true intentions and prioritizing personal interests over everything else.

The Prime Minister concluded by affirming that the people of Pakistan and political parties stood united with the COAS and the armed forces, ready to thwart any attempt or conspiracy aimed at undermining their prestige, honor, and integrity.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
