[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Sindh Department of College Education has adopted a new Intermediate Part-1 admission policy. This is a substantial shift in the department’s 23-year history. Admission to government colleges in Karachi will now be provided on a zonal rather than merit basis. This restores a system that existed before to the year 2000.
Students with A-1 and A grades will be eligible for admission to any college in the city under the new policy. Students with B, C, D, and E grades, on the other hand, will be limited to applying for admissions within their respective zones.

The Secretary of the Centralised Admission Policy, Rashid Khoso, indicated that a 25-minute driving zone will be developed, resulting in the construction of 12 zones inside Karachi.
Online admissions will commence on June 27th, with the deadline for completing online forms on July 20th. Admission lists for all faculties will be announced by July 25, with classes beginning on August 5. Admission will require a domicile and a PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate).
