UAE President orders to release around 1,000 prisoners ahead of Eid-Al-Adha

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 988 inmates from prisons around the country.

The declaration, released by the state-run news agency WAM, comes ahead of the approaching Eid Al-Adha festivals in 2023.

These detainees were involved in a number of legal issues, and their release is part of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts.

These projects are based on forgiveness and tolerance ideals, with the goal of giving those in correctional and penal facilities a chance to start over and actively contribute to society.

The benefits transcend beyond the individuals and have a positive impact on their families and the larger community.

President Sheikh Mohamed has an annual custom of pardoning a number of inmates on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. This formal pardon serves several functions, including strengthening family relationships by allowing convicts to reconcile with their loved ones.

It also allows prisoners to take advantage of the sacred occasion and return to their homes, creating a joyful and united atmosphere.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
