Pakistan has formally launched the Khush Aamdeed passenger facilitation service at Islamabad International Airport. The initiative aims to make air travel easier and more convenient for passengers.
Federal Secretary for Defence Lt Gen (retd) Muhammad Ali inaugurated the new service. The ceremony took place at Islamabad International Airport.
Several senior officials attended the event. Representatives from the federal government, aviation sector and tourism industry were also present.
The new service provides a meet-and-assist facility for travellers. It is designed to support passengers during different stages of their airport journey.
Islamabad-Madinah Travellers Become First Users
Passengers travelling from Islamabad to Madinah were the first travellers to use Khush Aamdeed.
The service aims to provide smoother assistance from the beginning of the airport process. Eligible passengers can receive priority check-in and support during security clearance.
Personalized assistance is also available under the service. Passengers can select packages based on their travel needs.
The initiative could be particularly useful for international travellers. It provides additional support for passengers who want a more organized airport experience.
Premium Lounge Facilities Available
Khush Aamdeed will also provide access to premium airport lounges. Different packages will be available for passengers.
The available services will depend on the package selected by each traveller. These options are designed to provide additional comfort during airport visits.
Passengers can also choose airport transportation services. Pick-up and drop-off facilities will be offered under selected packages.
These services can provide greater convenience for travellers before or after their flights.
Service Licensed by Pakistan Airports Authority
The Khush Aamdeed service has been licensed by the Pakistan Airports Authority. It is currently operating at Islamabad International Airport.
The company plans to expand the service to other airports in Pakistan. The expansion will take place gradually.
This could allow more passengers to access meet-and-assist facilities in the future.
The launch is part of broader efforts to improve passenger services at Pakistani airports. Better airport facilities can also contribute to a more positive travel experience.
Focus on Passenger Convenience
The new service is designed to provide a more welcoming airport experience. It combines airport assistance with premium facilities and transportation options.
For departing passengers, the service can help simplify several airport procedures. For arriving travellers, assistance may make airport transfers more convenient.
Pakistan is also seeking to strengthen its tourism and aviation sectors. Improved passenger facilities can support these efforts.
The Khush Aamdeed service is currently limited to Islamabad International Airport. Its planned expansion could make the facility available to passengers in other cities.
