The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and thundershowers in several parts of Pakistan. The weather system is expected to affect areas on Sunday night and Monday.
Most parts of the country are likely to experience hot and humid conditions. However, some northern and western regions may receive rain and thunderstorms.
According to the latest forecast, rain and wind with thundershowers are expected in central Punjab. Parts of northern and northeastern Balochistan may also receive rainfall.
Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are also likely to see showers. The weather may remain partly cloudy in several of these areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rainfall is expected in Swat, Kohistan and Battagram. Shangla and Waziristan may also receive rain during the forecast period.
Parts of Punjab may receive afternoon showers. Dera Ghazi Khan and nearby areas are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms.
Balochistan is expected to receive relatively widespread rainfall. Several districts may experience showers during Sunday night.
These areas include Zhob, Musa Khel, Loralai and Kohlu. Sibbi, Ziarat, Mastung and Dera Bugti are also included in the forecast.
Naseerabad, Khuzdar and Barkhan may also receive rainfall. Neighboring areas could experience similar weather conditions.
For Monday, isolated rain and thundershowers are expected in northeastern Balochistan. Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may also receive isolated rainfall.
Hilly areas near these regions could experience similar weather. The forecast indicates partly cloudy conditions in several northern locations.
Islamabad and surrounding areas are expected to remain partly cloudy. Most districts of Sindh, meanwhile, are likely to remain hot and humid.
Coastal parts of Sindh may experience partly cloudy weather. No widespread rainfall has been forecast for most areas of the province.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy weather is expected. Isolated rain and thundershowers may occur in these regions.
The PMD also reported rainfall during the previous 24 hours. Isolated heavy showers were recorded across several parts of the country.
Islamabad received some of the highest rainfall totals. Saidpur recorded 85 millimetres of rain during the period.
Golra and Zero Point each received 75 millimetres. Bokra recorded 52 millimetres, while Islamabad Airport received 13 millimetres.
Rawalpindi also experienced significant rainfall. Shamsabad and Kattarian recorded 64 millimetres each.
Pirwadhai received 62 millimetres, while Chaklala recorded 60 millimetres. Other areas also reported varying amounts of rainfall.
Rain was recorded in Attock, Gujrat, Murree and Sialkot. Multan, Mangla, Jhelum, Joharabad and Layyah also received showers.
Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan experienced rainfall as well. The PMD has advised people to remain aware of changing weather conditions.
Meanwhile, temperatures remained high in several parts of the country. Turbat recorded the highest maximum temperature at 43°C.
Nokkundi, Panjgur, Sibbi and Sukkur each recorded 40°C. These temperatures highlight the continued hot conditions across several regions.

The latest PMD forecast shows a mix of rainfall and hot weather. Some regions will receive showers, while much of the country remains warm and humid.
