Pakistani television host and actress Nadia Khan has responded to criticism from Sajal Aly’s fans, claiming that some supporters have been targeting her on social media following her comments about the drama Zanjeerain.
Nadia discussed the issue during a recent episode of Kya Drama Hai, where she explained that her original comments were related to what she described as a technical mistake in the drama rather than a personal criticism of Sajal Aly.
According to Nadia, however, fans brought Sajal Aly into the discussion and began directing criticism toward her.
Nadia Says Sajal Was Dragged Into Controversy
Nadia said she was surprised that her comments had turned into a wider discussion involving Sajal Aly.
She maintained that she had specifically pointed out an issue related to the direction of the drama and was not targeting Sajal personally.
The actress and host questioned why Sajal’s name continued to be brought into the controversy when, according to her, she had not directly criticised the actress.
Nadia also said that Dur-e-Fishan Saleem was unnecessarily being brought into the discussion after Nadia had praised her performance in Dar-e-Nijat.
Nadia Warns Fans to Remain Patient
Addressing those who have been targeting her online, Nadia urged fans to remain patient and suggested that the situation would become clearer in the coming days.
She also encouraged fans to focus on the professional work of their favourite actors rather than turning entertainment discussions into social media conflicts.
Nadia’s comments come amid growing fan discussions surrounding Pakistani dramas, where opinions about performances, storylines and production decisions often lead to heated debates online.
Fan Wars Can Affect Actors
Nadia also spoke about the potential impact of online fan wars on celebrities.
She claimed that some fans create controversies in an attempt to generate sympathy for the actors they support. However, she clarified that she was not accusing the actors themselves of deliberately creating such controversies.
According to Nadia, aggressive fan behaviour can ultimately have a negative impact on the reputation of the celebrities involved because social media discussions are publicly visible and can spread quickly.
The remarks have added another layer to the ongoing online discussion surrounding Zanjeerain and its cast.
