UK Assures Pakistan Over Delays in Student Visa Processing

The federal law minister has raised concerns about delays in UK visa processing for Pakistani students. The issue was discussed during a meeting in Islamabad.

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott met Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar. The meeting focused on Pakistan-UK relations and shared areas of interest.

Both sides discussed ways to improve cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Educational links and institutional engagement were also part of the discussions.

Concerns Over UK Visa Delays

During the meeting, Tarar highlighted problems faced by Pakistani students. He said delays in UK visa processing were causing serious difficulties.

The minister warned that hundreds of students could lose their academic year. This could happen if their visas are not issued before their programs begin.

Tarar stressed the importance of removing barriers for students seeking education abroad. He also informed the British High Commissioner about government efforts.
