Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove’s convoy came under fire in Mastung, with police confirming that the provincial minister remained safe during the attack.
Six security personnel were injured after unidentified armed men opened fire on the convoy while it was travelling from Kalat to Quetta.
According to police, the incident took place at Khadkocha Guru in Mastung, where armed attackers targeted the convoy of the Balochistan Home Minister.
Convoy Comes Under Fire
Police officials said the convoy was travelling towards Quetta when unidentified armed men launched an attack.
Security personnel accompanying the minister responded to the attack, resulting in an exchange of fire between the attackers and security forces.
The sudden attack triggered a security response in the area as personnel attempted to protect the convoy and prevent further casualties.
Despite coming under fire, Mir Ziaullah Langove remained safe and was not injured in the incident.
Six Security Personnel Injured
Police confirmed that six security personnel sustained injuries during the attack.
The injured personnel were shifted to Shaheed Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Raisani Hospital, where they were provided medical treatment.
Authorities have increased security measures in the area following the incident while efforts are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
The identities of the attackers have not yet been established.
