The PPSC has announced a major change for candidates appearing in its written examinations. The commission will introduce mandatory biometric verification, starting with the upcoming Deputy Accountant recruitment test. The new system is designed to improve transparency and strengthen the examination process.
According to the PPSC, biometric verification will be used during the Deputy Accountant written examinations scheduled for July 25 and 26. Every candidate must complete the verification process before entering the examination hall. Candidates who fail to complete the verification will not be allowed to sit for the test.
More than 60,000 candidates are expected to appear in the Deputy Accountant examination. Because of the large number of applicants, the commission believes biometric verification will help ensure a fair and secure testing environment.
PPSC Secretary Afzal Ahmed said the new system is an important step toward improving the credibility of recruitment examinations. He explained that biometric verification will reduce the chances of impersonation and make sure only genuine candidates take the exams.
The Deputy Accountant recruitment test will be the first written examination to use this verification system. The commission plans to review the process before expanding it to other large-scale recruitment exams.
The PPSC also confirmed that biometric verification will gradually be introduced in other written examinations involving more than 60,000 candidates. This phased approach will allow the commission to strengthen security while ensuring the system works smoothly.
The introduction of biometric verification reflects the commission’s efforts to make public sector recruitment more transparent. Identity verification through fingerprints is expected to improve confidence in the examination process and reduce the risk of fraudulent practices.
Candidates are advised to arrive at their examination centers on time to complete the biometric verification process without delays. They should also carry the required documents and follow all instructions issued by the commission before the examination.
