New Update Released for MDCAT 2026 Test Registration

Registration for MDCAT 2026 has surpassed 138,000 candidates, reflecting strong interest among students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan. The Medical and Dental College Admission Test is mandatory for students aiming to secure seats in public and private medical institutions.

The MDCAT 2026 examination is scheduled to take place nationwide on Sunday, August 16, with the test beginning simultaneously at 10:00 am. Authorities have finalized arrangements to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly across all provinces and regions.

Different institutions have been assigned responsibility for organizing MDCAT 2026 in their respective areas. In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will supervise the examination process. Sukkur IBA has been tasked with conducting the test in Sindh, while Khyber Medical University (KMU) will oversee arrangements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

For Balochistan, the responsibility has been assigned to Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta. Meanwhile, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Islamabad will manage MDCAT 2026 in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The same university will also supervise the examination center established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for eligible overseas Pakistani candidates.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has also announced an additional examination center in Islamabad specifically for students holding Balochistan domicile. The facility, arranged in collaboration with Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, is intended to provide greater convenience for candidates from the province.

According to the PMDC, the regular registration period for MDCAT 2026 remained open until July 13, while applicants can still complete their registration by paying a late fee until July 18.

Every year, MDCAT 2026 serves as the gateway for thousands of aspiring doctors and dentists seeking admission to professional health education programs. With registrations exceeding 138,000, this year’s examination is expected to be one of the largest in recent years, highlighting the growing demand for medical and dental education in Pakistan.
