AIOU has officially announced admissions for the Autumn 2026 semester for overseas students, offering a wide range of academic programs through its online and distance learning system. The university aims to provide flexible educational opportunities to international learners who wish to earn recognized qualifications from Pakistan while studying from their home countries.
According to the university, all academic programs offered under the Autumn 2026 intake are approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The online learning model enables overseas students to continue their education without relocating, making higher education more accessible and convenient.
The last date to submit applications for AIOU Autumn 2026 admissions is August 10, 2026. The university has encouraged international applicants to complete the admission process before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical or documentation issues.
AIOU is offering admissions in a broad selection of programs, including Matric, Intermediate, Associate Degree, BS, BBA, B.Ed, postgraduate diploma programs, and MBA degrees. Students can choose from various disciplines such as Computer Science, English, Urdu, Islamic Studies, Accounting and Finance, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Environmental Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, Education, and Mass Communication.
For school-level students, admissions are available in SSC General, SSC Science, Matric Open Courses, HSSC General, I.Com, and HSSC Open Courses. These programs are designed for students who want to complete their education through flexible online and distance learning.
The university is also accepting applications for Associate Degree programs in Arts, Education, Commerce, and Business Administration. In addition, BS degree programs are available for students who have completed Intermediate, an Associate Degree, BA/BSc, or 14 years of education.
Teacher education remains a major focus, with AIOU offering several B.Ed programs in Elementary Teacher Education, Secondary Teacher Education, School Leadership and Management, and Special Education. Business students can also apply for BBA programs based on their previous qualifications.
At the postgraduate level, AIOU is offering diploma programs in TEFL, Educational Leadership and Management, Educational Planning and Management, Early Childhood Education, Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Environmental Health and Safety. Admissions are also open for the 1.5-year MBA program for business graduates and the 2-year MBA program for non-business graduates.
Interested overseas students can apply online through the official AIOU admission portal before August 10, 2026. Applicants can also download the university prospectus and review complete program details through the official website or the QR code provided in the admission advertisement.
