Police have launched an investigation after a 10-year-old girl was found dead inside the washroom of a private tuition centre in Lahore’s Ichhra area.
According to initial reports, the girl had left her home to attend her regular tuition classes. Later, she was found unconscious in the washroom of the tuition centre, which was operating from a residential house. Authorities were immediately informed, and police reached the scene to begin an inquiry.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town Asad Ali visited the location, where Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gulberg briefed him on the preliminary findings of the case. Officials identified the deceased as Naeema, who had reportedly arrived at the tuition centre before the tragic incident occurred.
Police cordoned off the area and collected evidence from the premises as part of the investigation. The girl’s body was shifted to the morgue for a post-mortem examination, which authorities say will help determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators are examining all possible angles, including the circumstances leading up to the incident. They are also recording statements from the tuition centre staff, students, and other individuals who may have information relevant to the case.
SP Asad Ali said it is too early to determine the motive or circumstances behind the girl’s death. He added that investigators are awaiting the post-mortem report and forensic findings before reaching any conclusions.
Police have assured that the case will be investigated thoroughly and that legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the inquiry.
The tragic incident has raised concerns among local residents and parents, with many calling for a transparent investigation to establish the facts. Authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation and allow investigators to complete their work.
