Vehicle owners in Islamabad can now pay their vehicle token tax online through the PAK APP and receive a 10% discount if they complete the payment by July 31, under a new digital initiative launched by the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
The initiative enables motorists to pay their token tax from home, eliminating the need to visit government offices or wait in long queues. It is aimed at making tax payments faster, more convenient, and fully digital.
To pay the token tax, users need to download the PAK APP from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, sign in or create an account, and navigate to the Vehicle Token Tax section. After entering the required vehicle details, users can review the payable amount, which includes the applicable 10% discount, before completing the transaction through one of the available digital payment methods.
Authorities have encouraged eligible vehicle owners to make their payments before July 31 to benefit from the discount while saving time, fuel, and the inconvenience of visiting tax offices.
Developed by the NITB under the federal government’s Digital Pakistan Vision, the PAK APP provides access to a range of government services and digital payment facilities through a single platform. The initiative also supports the government’s broader efforts to expand digital governance and promote a cashless economy.
