Punjab Announces 1,010 PERA Sergeant Jobs – Apply Now

The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) has announced 1,010 vacancies for the post of Sergeant (BS-07), offering a significant employment opportunity for Intermediate-qualified candidates across the province. According to the official advertisement, applications are being accepted online, and interested candidates must submit their forms through the Punjab Job Portal by July 20, 2026.

The recruitment will be carried out on a district-cadre basis, with selected candidates expected to serve within their respective districts wherever possible. The position carries Basic Scale-07 (BS-07) along with a PERA Special Allowance. However, the authority has clarified that the special allowance will not be paid during the training period.

A total of 1,010 vacancies have been distributed across several districts. Lahore has the highest number of openings with 300 posts, followed by Rawalpindi with 150. Bahawalpur, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala each have 90 vacancies, while Sahiwal, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Gujrat have 50 posts each.

To be eligible, applicants must have passed Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Candidates must be between 18 and 26 years of age. The advertisement clearly states that no relaxation in age, educational qualifications, or physical standards will be granted, including to existing government employees. The Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rules regarding upper age relaxation will also not apply to these positions.

Male candidates must meet specific physical standards, including a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or below, a minimum height of 173 cm (without shoes), and the ability to complete a one-mile run in seven minutes. They must also have a chest measurement of 32 inches unexpanded and 34 inches or more expanded, with at least two inches of chest expansion. Female candidates must have a BMI of 27 or below, a minimum height of 162 cm, and complete a one-mile run in 11 minutes. Chest measurement is not required for female applicants.

Interested candidates are required to apply online through the Punjab Job Portal. Applicants must first create an account, complete their educational profile by entering their Matric and Intermediate details, and then submit the application for the PERA Sergeant post along with the required documents. Authorities have advised candidates to complete the registration process well before the July 20 deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
