PM Orders Fast-Track Completion of Daanish Schools Nationwide

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to expedite the construction of Daanish Schools across all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Islamabad, calling the initiative a major investment in Pakistan’s future.

Chairing a review meeting in Islamabad on the progress of Daanish Schools and Daanish University, the prime minister said the institutions are valuable national assets that will help provide quality education to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Shehbaz also instructed officials to establish a Tech Campus of Daanish University in Muzaffarabad and ensure that the architectural designs of Daanish Schools reflect the local culture of each region.

The prime minister emphasized that the recruitment of teachers and administrative staff for both Daanish Schools and the university must be carried out strictly on merit. He also appreciated the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training for the progress made on the projects.

Progress on 27 Schools

Officials informed the meeting that construction work is underway on 27 Daanish Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, and Islamabad, alongside the development of Daanish University in the federal capital.

The Daanish School in Kuri, Islamabad, has already been completed and classes have commenced. Meanwhile, schools in Bagh, Bhimber, Sultanabad, Ghanche, and Astore are nearing completion, with academic sessions expected to begin in April 2027.
