Daanish Schools Under Construction in 9 Balochistan Districts

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that construction of Daanish schools has started in nine districts of Balochistan as the federal government moves to expand access to quality education in the province.

Addressing participants of the Balochistan National Workshop, the prime minister said the government was focused on supporting the province’s development and improving opportunities for its people.

Shehbaz Sharif said the federal government was also prepared to provide another Rs. 100 billion for Balochistan’s development after the province utilizes the existing Rs. 100 billion development fund.

The announcement comes as the government seeks to strengthen education infrastructure in Balochistan, where access to quality educational facilities remains an important development challenge.

Daanish Schools to Expand Education Opportunities

The construction of Daanish schools in nine districts is expected to provide students with access to improved educational facilities and create additional opportunities for children in the province.

Daanish schools are intended to provide quality education, particularly to students from less privileged backgrounds.

The federal government’s focus on expanding such institutions reflects its broader efforts to improve educational opportunities and support human development in Balochistan.

PM Highlights Balochistan’s Resources

During the workshop, Shehbaz Sharif also spoke about Balochistan’s history, natural resources and development challenges.

He described the province as rich in natural resources and emphasized that the people of Balochistan should have the first right over those resources.

The prime minister said Balochistan’s history reflected values including courage, hospitality and tolerance. He also noted that the province is home to both Baloch and Pashtun communities.

Shehbaz stressed that the concerns of local communities should be heard when addressing the province’s challenges.

PM Calls for Dialogue

The prime minister said dialogue should remain central to efforts aimed at resolving Balochistan’s challenges.

He emphasized the importance of listening to the concerns of the people and tribal elders and said greater engagement was necessary to address issues facing the province.

Shehbaz also highlighted the need for fair distribution of resources and development opportunities.

More Development Funds Planned

Shehbaz Sharif said Balochistan receives a 10 percent higher share in government schemes compared with other provinces.

He called for continued efforts to ensure resources are distributed fairly and used to address the province’s development needs.

The prime minister reiterated that the federal government would continue supporting Balochistan’s development and said another Rs. 100 billion could be provided once the province utilizes its existing development allocation.

The construction of Daanish schools across nine districts is part of this broader development push, with education expected to remain a key component of efforts to improve opportunities for young people across Balochistan.
