125 Homes Damaged as Balochistan Quake Relief Continues

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has reported that 125 houses were damaged and 19 people were injured following the recent earthquake in Musakhel District.

According to the PDMA, relief operations are continuing in Kingri Tehsil, where medical camps have been established to provide treatment for the injured.

Authorities are distributing tents, bedding, and other essential relief supplies to affected families. Solar lights, gas cylinders, mats, and mosquito nets are also being provided to support displaced residents.

The PDMA and district administration are continuing to monitor the situation, while a detailed damage assessment survey remains underway to determine the full extent of losses.

Over the past two days, six moderate earthquakes have been recorded across different parts of Pakistan, raising concerns over continued seismic activity.

According to experts, seismic waves generated by a major earthquake in Venezuela may be linked to tremors felt in Pakistan.

Geologists said the recent earthquakes in Pakistan and the surrounding region are primarily the result of ongoing tectonic plate movement, adding that energy released by major earthquakes in distant regions can sometimes influence geological systems far from the original epicenter.
