The decision was made during an ECC meeting chaired by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Finance Division. The committee reviewed several financial proposals and approved funds for commemorative activities and development projects.

According to official details, the ECC approved a Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) of Rs. 1.289 billion. The amount will be used to support Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq celebrations across Pakistan.

The funding is expected to cover a range of events and activities planned for the national celebrations. Authorities are likely to organize programs in different cities to mark the occasion and highlight its significance.

In a separate decision, the ECC approved Rs. 2 billion for the construction of the Marka-e-Haq Monument in Islamabad. The project is intended to serve as a permanent national memorial dedicated to Marka-e-Haq.

Officials said the monument will be constructed by the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The organization will oversee the execution of the project and ensure its completion according to approved plans.

The latest approvals reflect the government’s focus on commemorating important national events while investing in projects of symbolic and historical value. The monument is expected to play a role in promoting public awareness about national milestones.

Apart from the commemorative initiatives, the ECC also reviewed a number of financial matters related to government operations. Several supplementary grants were approved for development schemes, administrative requirements, and projects managed by different ministries.

These approvals are aimed at ensuring the smooth implementation of government programs and addressing funding needs across various departments. The committee regularly evaluates requests for additional resources to support national priorities.
