Sales of Chengdu J-10C Maker Surge After Pak-India Conflict

The Chengdu J-10C has gained significant global attention following its reported use during the India-Pakistan conflict, boosting the profile of its manufacturer, AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Co.. The company recorded its highest-ever performance in 2025, with revenue rising 15.8% to 75.4 billion yuan and net profit increasing 6.5% to 3.4 billion yuan. First-quarter sales also surged by nearly 80%, reflecting strong market demand.

The growing interest in the J-10C comes after Pakistan praised its combat performance, along with the jointly developed JF-17 Thunder. The aircraft’s real-world deployment marked a key moment for Chinese defense technology, enhancing its credibility in international markets.

As a result, several countries have shown interest in acquiring these jets. Indonesia has indicated interest in the J-10C, while Iraq, Bangladesh, and Indonesia are considering the JF-17. The company has stated that expanding arms exports remains a major priority and has taken steps to increase production capacity through new agreements in Chengdu.

Meanwhile, AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Co. also reported steady growth, supported by increased demand for its aircraft, including the J-35 fighter. Both firms continue to operate under U.S. sanctions but are still expanding their global reach.
