Sindh Govt Suspends Three Karachi Matric Board Officials Over Cheating Allegations

Authorities in Karachi have uncovered a major cheating network linked to examinations conducted under the Karachi Matric Board. The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Karachi Police carried out targeted raids and arrested four suspects involved in the illegal operation.

According to officials, the suspects were identified as Mubeen Khan, Usama, Bilal, and Abdul Razzaq. They were arrested during raids in multiple areas, including Malir, Surjani, New Karachi, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Police believe the group was part of an organised network facilitating cheating in Karachi Matric Board exams.

Investigators revealed that the suspects were involved in leaking exam papers before scheduled tests. The group allegedly sold these papers to students for large amounts of money. Authorities say the papers were shared a night before the exams, giving unfair advantage to those who paid.

Police further stated that the network was managed using digital platforms. The alleged ringleader, Mubeen Khan, is said to be a final-year cybersecurity student at Sindh Madressatul Islam University. Officials claim he used his technical knowledge to create online groups and distribute exam content.

The investigation found that thousands of students were part of these online groups. Payments were collected through various online banking methods. Authorities suspect that similar networks may also be operating in other parts of the city, affecting the credibility of Karachi Matric Board examinations.

Officials have registered a formal case against the suspects and launched further investigations. They aim to identify more individuals linked to the network. Law enforcement agencies have also warned of strict action against anyone found involved in exam fraud.

The incident has raised serious concerns about transparency and fairness in the examination system. Experts say such activities damage the reputation of educational institutions and create inequality among students.
